THE RECORD MACHINE
For the last 20 years The Record Machine has been an independent record label and events company in Kansas City. Taking that history and a fresh energy, YupYup and TRM teamed up to introduce a new brand look, touching everything from the brand standards to show posters.
The original mark was comprised of a marquee sign, a cassette tape, a turntable, and a gear. Through a few rounds of exploration and some fine-tuning, YupYup was able to design a mark that included the same essence of elements. The shape of a marquee theatre sign, typography reminiscent of early show posters, overlapping line work relating to music mixing, cassettes, and vinyl. All surrounding the central gear of the machine.
